Description

Today, we’re going to prepare Gond Ped. Made with edible gum (gond), nuts, and mishri, it is packed with essential nutrients that help boost immunity. This energy-packed treat is especially beneficial during the winter months, as it helps to strengthen the body and protect against seasonal illnesses. Not only is it delicious, but it’s also a great way to stay healthy during colder weather.

Ingredients
  • 100 gm Almond
  • 100 gm Pistachio
  • 100 gm Walnut
  • 100 gm Cashew
  • 100 gm Raisins
  • 100 gm Anjir
  • 200 gm Grated Dry Coconut
  • 200 gm Mishri
  • 50 gm Poppy Seed
  • 10 gm Safed Musali
  • 50 gm Pippali Powder (Ganthoda)
  • 50 gm Dry Ginger Powder
  • 200 gm Edible Gum (Gond)
  • 2 ltr. Milk
  • 500 gm Ghee
Instructions
  1. To make Gond Ped, first of all we will heat milk in a big and thick pan. Here I have greased the pan with ghee. By doing this the milk will not stick to the pan. 

     

  2. Once the milk boils, we will add the edible gum to it. Here I have ground the edible gum finely and soaked it in ghee for 2 days. This will prevent the edible gum from sticking to the teeth. We have to keep stirring it continuously. As soon as the edible gum melts in the milk, the milk will start curdling on its own.
  3. After half the water evaporates, we will add mishri and ghee to it. After that, we will add poppy seeds one by one. We will keep stirring it in between.
    And we will also add all the dry fruits. I have coarsely ground all the dry fruits in the mixer. And I have finely chopped the figs. And finally we will also add dry ginger, ganthoda powder and grated coconut.

    Now we will let this entire water burn with mixture. We have to burn the water till the ghee separates.
     
  4. So our quality packed Gond Ped is ready.


Note
You can keep it outside for 3-4 days. And you can store it in the fridge for up to 1 month.
